Hey hey! First update in nine bloody months!

So yeah, my first idea was to head over to Sydney after finishing up Tasmania (where I was only supposed to stay for "up to a month", to arrive in Sydney around April). However, after leaving W.A. in February, I ended up spending two and a half months in Tassie instead of the originally planned one. Then, back in Melbourne, about to head over to Sydney, I saw an ad for a 4WD adventure through the Simpson Desert. One thing led to another and I ended up doing the entire centre and north of Australia, and ended up in Cairns (on the north east coast) two months later. Then I met up with a friend of mine in Brisbane, and we spent a month and a half doing the east coast from Brissie to Cairns. I finally made it to Sydney on the 4th of October, exactly one month before my working holiday visa runs out. As it turns out, there's absolutely no way I can get an extension to it either. So, I finally made it, five months later than I expected, and now I've got October to do the entire of New South Wales (and Canberra).

I could probably spend the next two months of my life updating this site with all the amazing things I've seen and done, but I have an extremely limited amount of time left here. Most of the updating will simply have to wait until I get home. I have a flight booked back to Canada on November 2nd. All the cool storied will just have to wait until then. I also haven't developed the vast majority of the 26 rolls of 40-exposure film I've taken -- it's cheaper in Canada, and there's no point shipping eight kilos of prints, when I could ship eight kilos of stuffed koalas instead.

In a sorry attempt to appease the rabid hunger of my billions of fans from around the world, I have added one small section for the time being: The Route So Far. The route I've taken around Australia has been insanely loopy. So far I've done more during this one trip than the vast majority of humans ever get to do in their entire lifetime. This section is an extremely brief summary of all the best stuff.

Remember: every small photo in every section listed below is clickable, as mentioned at the top of every page (but obviously not made clear enough by me, as several people have missed this point). Click on an image to see the full-size zoomed in version. Also, I must apologise for the image quality. The photos are being scanned by the place I'm getting them developed at, and they're not doing a very good job. At some later date I'll re-scan all of the prints at a much higher quality.
